This Board of Directors provides oversight for the Hyser Rivers Museum and the collection of artifacts on behalf of the Plainfield Charter Township.

The members of the Plainfield Grand Rogue Historical Society Board of Directors previously served on the Plainfield Township Historical Preservation Advisory Committee, appointed by the Plainfield Township Board of Trustees. Brian DeVries, Sharon Wells, Norm VanSoest, our historical society Secretary Sue Richardson Irvine, and our Treasurer, Louann Briggs-Larsen, all served as former Chairs of the outgoing Plainfield Township committee. Deb Havens, President, served as Secretary and Vice-Chair during her tenure.

Join the Board of Directors

The Plainfield Grand Rogue Historical Society Board of Directors is charged with overseeing the operations of the Hyser Rivers Museum and providing leadership to our members. We love what we do and are looking to share the fun! We’re eager to expand our board with equally interested history lovers who enjoy working with a motivated team (Us!) toward important goals. We meet monthly, setting our meeting day and time at the Annual Meeting in November to accommodate the schedules of our board members. Our board meetings generally require an hour and a half, and we also take turns as Docents at our Hyser Rivers Museum Open Houses — generally held on afternoons on the first Sunday of May through December.  If you have a professional skill-set to donate, so much the better.

If you are interested, please fill out the application HERE.
