In 1973, Plainfield Charter Township trustees formally appointed community members to the Plainfield Township Historical Preservation Advisory Commission to promote, collect and care for township historical materials, as well as serve as docents for public tours of what was christened the Hyser Rivers Museum.
In 2022, township officials retired the historical commission, and the new, independent non-profit Plainfield Grand Rogue Historical Society was born. |
